Private custom photography tours are perfect for photographers seeking an individual custom photography experience. With various package offerings, instruction and touring will be designed to meet your specific photography goals. Private custom tours are offered as a five-hour or eight-hour package with the option to add additional hours of instruction. Larger 2-day and multi-day custom packages are also available. 

Small group photography workshops are designed and created during highly sought times of the year. The small group of photographers in these multiple-day workshops will be led and taught landscape photography in various locations in the Canadian Rockies.

Both a private tour and a small group workshop will meet your photography needs and goals. 

Gina is excited to meet you where you are in your photography journey and teach you the steps that will help you take better photos. 

Private workshops can offer one-on-one instruction, while small group workshops will divide the instructor(s) attention among participating photographers. 

Private workshops are customizable around your schedule, while small group workshops are experiences (albeit incredible) planned during highly sought-after times of the year.

The following is included for all private custom photography tours:

• A complimentary online 30-minute pre-tour session will inform Gina of your photography level, interests, and goals during the tour.
• A complimentary digital information package that will guide you through your tour preparation so that you can get the most out of your experience.   
  
• All on-location photography instruction throughout the tour.
  
• All business and instructing permits required to operate within Banff, Yoho and Jasper National Parks.
  
• An option to add additional participating photographers at a 20% discount per person.
• An option to add a 90-minute online post-processing session at a 20% discount.
• A complimentary 90-minute online post-processing session, following the tour, ONLY FOR MULTI-DAY CUSTOM PHOTOGRAPHY ADVENTURES.

The following is not included in private custom photography tours:

• Airfare 
  
• Transportation 
  
• Lodging 
• Meals, snacks and beverages.
• Personal expenses such as fuel, parking and park pass. *Note: National Parks and Provincial Parks require a vehicle pass. 
  
• All photography equipment and gear required for the tour.
• Travel, gear and personal insurance (highly recommended). 

NOTE: Tours will only be offered into Jasper National Park during multi-day custom photography adventure bookings.

Your photography gear and equipment are likely perfect for all landscape photography tours. 

However, Gina recommends the following photography gear for all private custom tours: 

• DSLR (crop or full frame) or mirrorless camera *Note: Gina does not teach smartphone photography.
• A wide-angle lens or lenses (somewhere between 11-35mm) *Note: Gina uses her 14-24 mm for the majority of her landscape images in the Canadian Rockies.
• A mid-range lens (somewhere between 24-70mm, if you have one)
• A telephoto (somewhere between 70-600mm, if you have one)
• Sturdy Tripod (tripod spikes are useful in loose rock, gravel and in icy and snow conditions)

Optional but recommended additional landscape photography gear and equipment:

• Landscape photography filters (polarizer, neutral density) 
• Remote timer 
• Photographer’s backpack
• Adequate layered clothing
  
• Food and water

Gina will customize your learning experience to your goals and needs. 

Gina holds the necessary business licenses, touring, and instruction permits for Banff National Park, Yoho National Park and Jasper National Park and can offer touring and instruction in any of these locations.

This includes popular locations such as Vermilion Lakes, Two Jake Lake, Johnson Lake, Cascade Ponds, Castle Mountain, Moraine Lake, Lake Louise, Bow Lake, Peyto Lake, Emerald Lake, Icefield Parkway, Sunwapta Falls, Athabasca Falls, Edith Cavell, Pyramid Lake, Patricia Lake, Maligne Canyon, Lake Annette, Edith Lake, Medicine Lake, Maligne Lake, and many more.  

*Locations are subject to change, and no location is guaranteed due to time of year, access, weather, and other conditions.*

The number of locations visited will be dependent on the tour booked. 

The itinerary can remain flexible or set during your complimentary 30-minute pre-tour session. 

NOTE: Private custom tours to Jasper National Park will only be included for multi-day custom photography adventure tours.

NOTE: Moraine Lake no longer allows private vehicle access. Please be aware that a shuttle must be booked in advance for an additional travel fee.
