Viewpoints: A winter day in Banff National Park

I've been fortunate enough to have had several getaways this winter out into the mountains.  There is something about the air out there that refreshes my soul.  Myself, my daughter and a friend spent a Saturday this month out in Banff National Park near the townsite photographing the surrounding landscape.  Breakup is just beginning on the water and I found myself drawn to the texture and spots of reflection.  Here is some of what I was able to capture on that day.

Two Jack Lake, Banff, Alberta looking east.

Two Jack Lake, Banff, Alberta looking southwest.

Lake Minnewanka, Banff, Alberta looking east.  The ice jams along this lake this time of year are incredible.

Lake Minnewanka, Banff, Alberta looking north.

Sunset was spent out at Vermillion Lakes, Banff, Alberta and although it was not spectacular the heavy storm clouds were beautiful to watch as they rolled in over Mount Rundle.

Thank you for stopping by this month!  Please continue on in the circle as my friend Kathy as she always has a beautiful share.
